Nikki Wood grew up just outside of Sacramento, California where her passion for performance started at a very young age. In high school, she started more serious training at Northern California Dance Conservatory and Step One Dance and Fitness.
After High School, Nikki was accepted into the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at San Jose State University where she was able to work with choreographers such as, Holly Johnston, Kara Davis, Gary Masters, Heather Cooper, and Mike Esperanza. In 2013 She received her BFA degree in Dance with an Emphasis in Modern Dance.
That same year Nikki decided to fulfill her life long dream and move to New York City to Pursue her career in dance. She has had the opportunity to work with several choreographers as Mike Esperanza, Shirlene Quigley, Gigi Torres, and Dominic Doung.
Since moving to NYC Nikki has also discovered her passion for dance education and choreography. She is a current faculty member at Artistree Performing Arts in Westchester, New York and continues to travel back to California to teach classes and choreograph at various studios.
